Gamay Noir is fruit-driven with intense berry aromas and is well structured. It has a ripe, soft tannin texture and good length. For the Stand Alone wines, their philosophy in winemaking is minimal intervention through the whole winemaking process and making vintage and site-specific wines. Only 3 barrels of Gamay Noir wine was made.
Villiera Wines

Villiera Cabernet Sauvignon
The current vintage shows classic dark berry fruit with a hint of dark chocolate and violets on the nose. On the palate, it is well balanced with rich, soft tannins. It can be enjoyed now but will keep for up to 10 years in good storage conditions.

Villiera Merlot
The color of the wine is brilliant red. The aroma shows hints of wood spice with attractive red berry fruit. On the palate, the wine is rich and full of juicy soft tannins ensuring drinkability. It will, however, mature for up to six years from vintage.

Villiera Bush Vine Sauvignon Blanc

Villiera Chenin Blanc 2019
The wine has abundant fruit with a hint of wood spice on the nose, including pineapple, guava, and citrus. On the palate, it is rich with a hint of freshness. It is well balanced with a long finish. The wine has the structure to last for 5 years, but Chenin Blanc can also be enjoyed young. The majority of the grapes are picked mid-season by hand at optimum ripeness. A component was picked earlier to introduce freshness due to the warmer vintage. The fruit comes from 3 blocks including 40 % old bush vines.

Villiera Down To Earth White
The wine is lively and fresh with a hint of passion fruit and gooseberries from the Sauvignon Blanc. The Semillon contributes to the more herbaceous, grassy character as well as complexity to the palate. It also contributes to the balance and makes you reach for another glass. This wine easy to drink now, although with proper storage it will keep for a further two years. 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon

Villiera Jasmine

Villiera Bush Vine Blanc Fumé
Villiera has an old, single bush vine vineyard with the weather station clone of Sauvignon Blanc. It has the ability to produce a unique, intense style that we felt was worthy of its own platform. The bush vine system is a traditional training method especially suited to unirrigated vineyards. The limited yield ensures early ripening. The green pepper, fig, and slightly smoky character are nicely complemented by some oak spice. This wine should keep for up to 5 years and the new style typifies the terroir it grows in.

Monro Brut 2013
A Prestige cuvée, produced whenever conditions favor the production of fine sparkling wine. The name is a family name that the Griers are proud to associate with their flagship. This Cap Classique is made with maturation potential in mind.

Brut Natural
The balance and softer style of this Cap Classique made it possible to avoid adding dosage which means it is extra dry and ideal as an aperitif. A rich, creamy yeasty aroma with a full, ripe toasty flavor on the palate finishing dry with a savory aftertaste.
